Organising the Weekend Workshops included:

    • Deciding on a theme and venue suitable for the Frankston Photographic Club's scheduled monthly competition
    • 2.5 - 3 months out : Organising contacts, permissions and committee approvals and notifications to members
    • 2 months out : Run the Weekend Workshop (to give members time take and an image)
    • 1 month out : Submit the final image to the monthly competition (to give judges time to asses and score images)

Streamlining the the process and documentation led to

  • Developing a template of required information for the committee to approve a Weekend Workshop, and
  • Providing relevant and interesting information for club members about the Weekend Workshop in a branded, downladable PDF document

Handover - For the Next Social Secretary

When I took over the role of, I was not given any paperwork and had a difficult time finding venues and organisation that was acceptable.

As part of stepping down from the Social Secretary's role (aka : Cruise Director, Chief Entertainment Officer), I wanted to make sure the next person had a bit of an easier time.
